Fortbrand Services, Inc., the exclusive North American distributor for the Vammas line of snow removal equipment, announced that, pursuant to its ten year supply agreement with the Calgary Airport Authority (CAA), the CAA has taken delivery of three (3) additional Vammas PSB 5500 multi-function, high-speed runway / taxiway snow removal vehicles. The vehicles increase Calgary International Airport’s fleet of Vammas PSB 5500 multi function units to nine (9) vehicles.

The supply agreement between Fortbrand Services and the CAA is unique with respect to the purchase of airport snow removal equipment in North America and benefits both parties. The agreement enables the CAA to expand and standardize its fleet over a ten year period at a fixed price, indexed for inflation and variances in currency exchange rates.

Calgary International Airport also operates the Hagie GST 20 Sprayer, enabling high speed, precise application of runway deicing chemicals, resulting in savings in chemical costs. The Hagie GST 20 at Calgary is also equipped to operate the Vammas PS 4200 Edge Light Plow, eliminating the need for many hours of costly human resources to be dedicated to clearing snow from runway and taxiway signs and edge lights, providing for a fast payback of the investment in this equipment.
