Fortbrand Services, the exclusive distributor of Vammas airport snow removal equipment in North America, today announced that Hagie Manufacturing Company of Clarion, Iowa has acquired the airport snow removal line of products from the Finnish company Patria Vammas. Production of all Vammas equipment will be moved to Hagie’s facility in the United States.

Fortbrand Services will continue as the exclusive Distributor in North America for the Vammas / Hagie line of airport snow removal equipment and will continue to provide all aftermarket support services.

Hagie will transfer the manufacture of the Vammas product line to Clarion, Iowa. During the transition period, Vammas will continue engineering, technical and production support. The high quality of Vammas equipment will be maintained and further developed for the North American market. The Hagie equipment will be eligible for FAA AIP funding.

Hagie is fully familiar with the airport market, having previously adapted its line of agricultural sprayers to airport use. Hagie, working in conjunction with management and technicians at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, has developed its GST 20 sprayer into a multi-function, multi-seasonal runway sprayer. The GST 20 can be coupled with the Vammas PS4200 Edge Light Plow / Sign Cleaner or a flail mower attachment. The Hagie GST 20, with attachments, is in use at JFK, MSP, BOS, DTW, YYC & RNO.

Fortbrand Services is a niche business specializing in the sale, lease and rental of aircraft ground support equipment throughout the aviation industry.
