FORTBRAND SERVICES, INC., AND FRESIA, S.P.A, ANNOUNCE DELIVERY OF F2000 EQUIPMENT FOR WINTER SEASON
Plainview, New York, December 15, 2006
Fortbrand Services, Inc., the exclusive North American Distributor for Fresia, S.P.A., an Italian manufacturer of specialized snow removal equipment, is proud to announce the latest delivery of the F2000 compact sweeper. Syracuse Hancock International Airport took possession of its second Fresia F2000 on December 15, 2006. The Fresia F2000, a highly specialized airport snow removal unit, takes multi-tasking to a new level at Syracuse. A combination plow, sweeper and blower, the Fresia F2000 enables the Airport to replace multiple units in its snow removal plan with one unit and to more effectively deploy its personnel during a snow event. Syracuse was asked by the equipment distributor, Fortbrand Services, to act as a test site for the Fresia F2000's effectiveness in typical Central New York winter climate. Henry Foster, President of Fortbrand Services, said “We selected Syracuse Hancock International Airport as the North American test airport for the Fresia F2000 multi-function, high-speed, compact runway sweeper due to Syracuse’s reputation for having a very challenging winter operations environment, including an average of 120 inches of snow per season, and our confidence in the ability of the Syracuse maintenance and operations staff to provide a thorough evaluation of the Fresia F2000's performance and capabilities.” “We were honored to be selected as the North American test site for this unit,” said Aviation Commissioner Tony Mancuso. “We have one of the most effective snow removal operations in the Northeast, with our priority focused on maintaining a safe operation surface, and I give all the credit to our maintenance and operations folks, who work tirelessly to ensure the safety of Airport passengers and employees.” For additional information contact Alan J.
